Back to School | I'm a Junior, Work, Sorority, Rush, & More

Hi Everyone!

Sadly on Monday (August 25th) I went back to school. I am a junior in college which seems crazy! I cannot really even believe that I have already finished two full years of college. It is only the third day yet I have been a busy bee. I am going to fill you in, if your interested in continuing to read, all about what I have been up to lately and that will be coming up.

Let's Get Started!

First I'll let you know all the classes that I am taking this semester and what my first impressions of them are.

Legal Environment of Business
This class I assumed was going to be hard and I would have a boring professor or something but, I found that to be very untrue. I actually just got out of this class and the professor is actually so funny and I don't think it will be quite as hard as I thought. I took government in high school that though was four years ago when I was a junior so that is not going to help because I remember very little. Despite this class being and 9 in the morning Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I think it will be bearable and okay.

Accounting
Considering I have only taken 3 credits worth of math in the last two years makes me a little nervous. I need this class for my management minor. I was told by one of my sorority sisters that I have a good professor for it so that is good. I guess we will see how this class goes. If it doesn't go well I may have to rethink things because for my management minor I also need to taking accounting 2.

Textiles & Textiles Lab
The only thing I have heard about this class is that it is hard. Which is never a good thing. I do like the professor, I've had her before for many classes but, she is a bit scatter brained. She is extremely smart and knows a lot she just doesn't understand we don't all know what she does, I think.

Global Sourcing
Global sourcing will be the death of me. 50 page paper that I work on all semester, is all I need to say. The professor is also not my favorite, I've had her before.

Professional Documents
This is a class I believe will be helpful in putting together things I need for internship applications as well as after college and it is only one day a week.

Introduction to Theater
The only reason I am taking this class is because I need a humanities credit and I did not want to take a history or literature class. I tried taking a literature class last fall and not even a week I went to my adviser, dropped it and changed my schedule. This class is online and it seems like it will be interesting and easy. There is a lot of little work through the week but, it's not hard and I get to go see plays\musicals and write about them. I like plays\musicals so that will be fun.

Those are all of my classes this semester. It may not seem like a lot but I am taking 16 credits which is a normal amount.

Moving on Rush is in TWO WEEKS. I know a lot of campuses do there rush before school even starts but not here. We have our rush after school already starts. As apart of the recruitment team I have been busy trying to complete the task I have been assigned. Making new name tags for the chapter. It is easy but really I cannot find the drive to do it and they should already be done but whatever. Because rush is in two weeks we also are having recruitment workshops as well which take up a lot of time.
More sorority stuff is that we have members to initiate this week which also takes up a lot of time in between work and the first week of classes. It is by far been the most busy week I've had in the last three months and it is only Wednesday.

If any of you have recently started school how is it going? For me, college was not at all what I was expecting and I had an awful first semester. I hope yours is better. I highly recommend checking out rush if your school has not already done it because it is one of the best decisions I have ever made!

Tell me down below how your back to school is going and when did or do you start school. I can say that I am glad for everyone to be back in town but, in no way am I ready for classes to be started.

Thank you so much for taking a look and reading!
Like I said leave me a comment down below, I love reading them!
If you would like a post about Rush, Sorority life, or a look at my apartment let me know down below.
