May Ipsy Bag | Review

Hi Everyone!

I am here today to give you a review on the products that I received in my Ipsy bag this month. I received my bag last week and have had a chance to use my products and this bag has a few hits and misses for me.

Let's Get Started!

---------------

First let's start out with the brush because it is my favorite item from the bag. I have never had a proper fluffy blending brush and this one is amazing. The bristols feel soft and they are great at blending. It creates a smooth transition with colors and I would highly recommend checking out this brand because they deliver high quality brushes at a fairly reasonable price. I will without a doubt purchase more brushes from them. I have used it a week and have not seen any fall out or roughness of the bristles.

Second, my next favorite thing was the black eyeliner. When I first watched it on my hand it immediately reminded me of Urban Decay's 24/7 glide on eyeliners. I'm happy to tell you that a week later I still believe that. The color is smooth and highly pigmented. I love that it is a gel eyeliner but in pencil form. This saves me from having to use a brush and getting clumps (I also get chunks with gel eyeliner!) For me it lasts all day and does not smear. At the end of the night it is easy to get off with a makeup wipe. I encourage all of you in need of a new and great eyeliner to check them out!

The face cream is a product I actually turned out loving. I was not sure of it right away but right now I am so tempted to by a full size even at the high price. I have used it every morning since I have received it and I think it has made my skin so soft and it is also refreshing in the morning. Their is a light mint smell and in the morning that wakes me up and leaves my skin completely refreshed I use this product after a cleanse and moisturize my face. I would say check this out if you are in the market for a new and high end face cream because I have definitely seen a difference in my skin with this one.

The next product I'm a little iffy about. It is not my favorite dry shampoo but it is also not a horrible product either. One downside that this product has over my favorite, batiste, is that it smells so bad. Over time and with using it, it doesn't have as strong of a smell but right away it was awful. The plus side is that it does not leave any white residue but at the same time I don't think it soaks up all the oil and it actually seemed to leave my hair staticky. This product would be a pass from me, their are some better dry shampoos out there and for half the price.

---------------

The final products I like half of it and I didn't like half of it. The two lip gloss samples I liked. I de-potted them and they are smooth and not in any way sticky. They are not opaque but I don't mind that they still have a nice color pay off. They last long on the lips and do not need to be touched up all the time. The lip primer in ozone on the other hand felt like all I was doing was rubbing wax on my lips and it leaves them looking completely gross. If you have used this product and liked it tell me below how you used it because, I swear, I have to be doing something wrong.

Here's to New York

Hi Everyone!

I say this overtime I actually write a post lately but, I'm back! I have been M.I.A. the last month and that is because I have been finishing up my junior year at college. I believe I've mentioned it before, I'm an apparel merchandising major with minors in marketing and management. I didn't realize at the beginning of this school year just how stressful this year would be. Thankfully, as it's finals week, everything has started settling down.

Here is a list of things recently I have been stressing about:
(I know some of them are silly :)

1. Summer Internship
2. Finding a place to live next year
3. The landlord we are renting from next year
4. Consumer Behavior Presentation
5. Retail Management Paper
6. My messy room

It is 100% percent true, for me, when they say, you know your life is a mess when your room is a mess. That is how I feel cluttered and frazzled. When I am done writing this I plan on cleaning my room and packing so that in the next few weeks I am able to move.
Most of the things have been crossed off my stress list also, which is a major plus.

By far one of the most stressful things that I have faced this semester is that as a junior I need to have an internship for this summer. I can't even begin to tell you how many places I have applied to but I am so, so, /so/ excited to announce that for eight weeks this summer I will be living in New York City and working at Fiftytwo Showroom. This is literally my dream come true! I freak out and get excited overtime that I say it.

I am so eager to start my internship at Fiftytwo Showroom, working in a showroom gives me the chance to work with and meet so many people. I think this is the perfect place to get my food in the door and prepare for what I want to do with my life after college next year.

I would be lying, though, if I said I wasn't nervous going to New York by myself. My mother will be flying with me out there though so at least I'm not getting on a plane and trying to figure everything out myself on the first day I am there.I will be living in the NYU suite rooms, which is a plus because I will have roommates and not just be alone by myself all of the time.

This is the time I am really going to find out if New York is where I want to be in the future. I have told myself that I cannot waste time there and that on weekend, and everyday, get out of bed early so that I can explore the city I fell in love with last year when I visited. One week was far too short to see everything that I wanted to and personally I think eight weeks won't be enough but it's a start.

Here's a list of a few things I plan to do while I'm there:

1. Explore Central Park (Can you believe I didn't the last time I went!?)
2. Visit the Eleanor at the Plaza gift shop
3. Go to a Yankees game
4. See The Lion King or Le Mis
5. Walk the highline
6. Consume and unnecessary amount of cupcakes and macaroons
7. Take a bus tour of NYC (Ultimate tourist mode right there!)
8. Take time and wander The Met
9. Go to Grand Central Station and people watch
10. Find an amazing breakfast café
11. Go to a nightclub/bar now that I am finally 21!
12. Go to Shake Shack
13. Visit Coney Island
14. Go to the Belfry
15. Go to the Bronx Zoo
16. Go to Dylan's Candy Bar

As you can see my list is completely random and kind of weird. Let me know in the comments what would be on your list of things to do in New York City. Also leave me a comment if their are places or things you think I need to add to my list because I would love to know!

Like I have said I am so excited and I cannot wait to be their and blog about it all so that I can share it with all of you!
