Monthly Favorites || October

Hi Everyone!

I hope that everyone had a fabulous start to their week. I know right now I am trying to avoid homework so I thought that I would share with you guys my monthly favorites from October. I put up two other posts today and it would be awesome if you checked it out. I posted my ootd from Sunday and today.

Let's Get Started!

MAKEUP

NARS tinted moisturizer

I have been loving this as my liquid foundation. It is called a moisturizer but it definitely has the coverage of a liquid foundation. It may have the coverage but it is super light which is something I like. The price may be high but I just love the formulation or it. So if anyone has a cheaper dupe for it I would love to know!

Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain in Parisian Passion

This lip stain is not one that I think dries on the lips but rather it stays pretty wet and glossy which is something that I do not mind at all. I also just love the color and think it is perfect for Fall. The color does last pretty long because it will leave a slight stain but you will definitely need to reapply during the day if you want to have the solid color all day long.

Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow in Precious Metals

I have actually had these shadows for a while but never really used them till now and right now I am just loving these colors for fall. I also like them because lately I just have been so lazy, more like 9am classes, with eye makeup and these are perfect for that! I also like using them as a base. I found that the Naked and Naked 2 pallets both have shades that are exactly the same that I can layer on top of them.

FASHION

Vests

I have been absolutely loving vests if you couldn't tell from my latest ootds. I have two a cream and a black one and I wear them maybe 5 out of 7 days during the week. I just think they are perfect for fall. I know vests from places like J.Crew, which are the ones I like, can be ridiculously expensive but I found the ones from Old Navy remind me a lot of them and are only about $35.

Long Necklaces

Last year I was all about big statement necklaces and don't get me wrong I still love them but I have been loving layering long necklaces.

FOOD

Smoothies

For some reason I have been on a smoothie kick. They are also simple and I can make them quick before class and take them to go. I like using frozen fruit and then just adding juice and blending it up. My favorite frozen fruit to add is mango. I even got the last two bags of frozen mangos in the grocery store today.

OTHER

Song - Something in the Water - Carrie Underwood

I don't know why but I have been really into this song and listen to it all the time.

TV Show - Hotel Impossible

For some reason I clicked on this on Netflix and just cannot stop watching it. This guy goes around and helps save hotels that are going under.

Movie - Gone Girl

I would highly recommend going to see this movie. I enjoyed this movie and thought it was good even though I thought the end ended oddly either way I would suggest seeing it.

That concludes some of my favorites for the month of October.
Let me know down below what your favorite things were for the month!

My January Beauty Favorites and Unfavorites (Makeup Monday)

Hi Everyone!

I have not done a favorites post in some months so I though I would do it for this month. I know that it is a little early since we still have a few days left of the month but I am going to do it anyway. I also am adding some of my unfavorites that I have not been loving this month.

Let's Get Started!

Favorites:

Neutrogena's MoistureSmooth color stick in Rich Raisin
I love this product, I did a review on it if you want to check it out and see exactly what I think about it.

e.l.f. Blush in Fuchsia Fusion
This blush is very pink and very sparkly but I love it. It looks very natural on the face, not to mention gorgeous, and is not to over dramatic.

L'Oreal the Balm in Heavenly Berry
This lipstick is awesome. It is sheer and not to bright but you can build up the color. I like it because in these freezing cold months it keeps my lips moisturized.

Sexy Hair soy touchable
I love hairsprays that do not leave your hair feeling crisp or like you have product in it and this one is fantastic at not doing that. It helps keep fly a ways gone and de-frizz my hair a bit while feeling like it is not even there.

 Urban Decays Primer Potion
This has to be one of my favorite eyelid primers and I have been using only this all month. My eye shadows stay on all day long thanks to this.

Unfavorites:

Benefit's Fake Up
Now I do not hate this product. I just prefer boi-ing. This concealer is more moisturizing but does not have as much coverage which is what I like.

Clean and Clear Blackhead Eraser
This product just does not seem to be working for me. It is supposed to be cleaning out my pores but when I get in the shower and when I get out I feel like I still have the same clogged up pores. Does anyone have any recommendations on good products to clear out and minimize my pores because I want to find something that works so bad!

Thank you so much for reading and taking a look!

October Beauty Favorites (Makeup Monday)

Hi Everyone!

Today it really hit me that it is already November. Where in the world did October go. There is absolutely no way that I have only a month and a half left with this semester of college. As October ended I hope everyone had a spectacular Halloween weekend, I know that I had a blast! Even though I lost my tiger ears at a dance. During October I found myself using new beauty products and sticking to them more then I have previously. In thinking about that I thought why not start doing my monthly beauty favorites. That is what this post will be discussing is my beauty favorites during the month of October.

Let's Get Started!

The first item that I have been loving this month is my Naked 2 Palette. I got this palette quite a while ago and used it all the time. Then I purchased my Theodora and Basics palettes from Urban Decay and stuck to those. This month though I rediscovered this and have been using this palette so much more than the other two. The metallic and shimmer neutrals, I feel, work well for fall and winter compared to my soft matte colors.

I know this palette is a little bit on the spendy side for some people but the quality of these shadows make it worth the price. Keep in mind at the end of the month Black Friday and Cyber Monday will be here so look out for possible deals on this palette because I would strongly recommend purchasing it.

From Benefit the Pore fessional is next. I purchased this item around the beginning of this month due to the fact my foundation was running into my pores. I know it sounds gross. I had little dots of makeup all over my face by the end of the day which was the makeup just sucked up into my pores. (On a side note does anyone else have this problem because the associate in Ulta thought it was weird.) This product does seem to help with that because it is filling up my pores before I even put makeup on and I am left with a smooth finish instead of the dots.

Another Benefit product I have been using religiously this month is boi-ing. I have not had terrible acne to cover up this month which is what I normally use this for but I have found that it works great for my growing under eye circles (that is what college and sleep deprivation will do to you). The coverage is spectacular, it is not called industrial strength for nothing. I like that it is not super thick either it actually goes on thin but still manages to cover up almost anything.

Continuing the theme of Benefit products is Watts Up. This product I received from Sephora as the birthday gift in April but never used it at all. This month though I brought it out and have been using it everyday. Where I have been using it is right under my brow bone as a highlighter and love the way that it looks there. I am not sure where else to use this product so if anyone has suggestions please leave them down in the comments, I would love to know where else to use this!

Finally moving away from Benefit is a product from Covergirl. This product is from there Catching Fire line. It is one of there flamed out shadow pencils in 305. I could not find a name on it and I wish that they did have names. I use this as a base for my eye shadows and even on its own if I am going for thick liner. The color is a metallic brown and looks gorgeous as a base. It adds a little shimmer that you would normally not have with the eye shadow alone. A problem that I have run into with products like this is that they tend to crease easily. This did not do that, I had it on all day and it did not crease which made me like it even more!

Lipsticks are my favorite thing to purchase and this month I was in the market for a good neutral lip color. I found a Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick and fell in love. It is in the color 105 (again wish all products had names). This color is almost the same color as my lips but a little bit darker. This is the perfect neutral for me and it last throughout most of the day which is a plus. The feeling on the lips of this is also great it is not to thick and cakey or chalky but instead is light and creamy.

The next product I have been using for a few months now and use it everyday. The L'Oreal Lineur Intense is my favorite eyeliner of all time. It is a felt tip and I have found that it provides the best application for me. It makes a clean and sleek line and good for when I try cat eyes. I will repurchase this item and prefer it to liquid, gel, and pencil liner. It is just so easy to apply!

The final item that I have I actually purchase because it was in one of sarahbelle93x videos. I thought it looked like a gorgeous color in the video and was not disappointed when I got it home. It is a beautiful berry/wine color and perfect for fall. I love the colorburst by Revlon lip-glosses and have other colors as well. They are not sticky and do not wear off super fast. The pigmentation is also nice and can be worn light or built up dark.
